So I got this set of double Speed Cobras from eBay for a helluva deal, because one of the bolts was broken off in the hole on the drive shaft. I knew I could fix it, so I jumped on the deal.

I just received them yesterday, and within an hour, I have the broken bolt removed.

I found a 4 pack of replacement bolts online. They'll be here tomorrow. Easy way to save a couple hundred bucks!

Were you able to find a good purchase/notch to tap it around and out with a punch or did you have to go full boat and drill and easy out?
I can't believe someone sold them just cause of that lol
A simple easy out set and boom done.
Killer steal of a deal for you!

Damn great deal
Was it a left handed drill bit to pull out the broken bolt? Or did you just drill and tap a new hole?

It’s amazing how many people tighten the snot out of wingnuts and setscrews on drums & hardware. I’ve seen tom mount tubes and cymbal stand tubes that were literally crushed from over-tightened wing bolts. I guess if you play hard rock or metal...but I barely snug them down and have never had an issue.

Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

Years ago I thought this tool was a great idea and I bought one...............it allows you to overtighten so much more than a regular drum key, you strip out anything if not careful.
