A couple of months ago, a book was mentioned that everyone should have and work your way through the exercises. I said you didn't need to learn everything in the book, that would be a total waste of time.

Take a slightly heavier pair of sticks, get a pillow and a cup of coffee in the afternoon, (scotch at night), and just loosen everything up. Then get behind your drums and make up your own version of rudiments. This video is basically playing and going to different rudiments,single and double stroke rolls, paradiddles, flams, with other stuff thrown in. You do it anyway you want to. It will give you fast hands and a variety of stickings that will get you there faster than any book or any of the videos on you tube.



Besides, when is the last time you played a double triple ratamacue???
