We will be one of eight acts for a one day festival in June at the lakefront amphitheater in our town. We will be the second group to perform, with two more local acts following us. Justin Morgan, Kingfish Ingram, Mr. Sipp and headliner Anthony Hamilton will also perform. This is a stage I've wanted to perform on for several years, but have never had the opportunity to do so. I've seen 38 Special, Trick Pony, Tracy Lawrence, and several others perform here before. I'm pretty stoked to say the least.

Man, that looks like fun! I played something like that last Summer with a grand opening park/band shell. It was a blast!
    Enjoy!

Congrats man that's Awesome. It's always a great feeling of satisfaction when you finally get to play a place you have admired for a long time. I got to play the hampton beach shell here in NH a few years back and it was a great time. Estimated 500 people.

Nice. Pray for good weather with minimal wind....unless you have a rack. Then, the wind won't be such a bummer if it's present.

Those boxes piled high with drum gear, a regular stop for the UPS guy on his route to your front door.

Nice job. There’s no better feeling than booking a gig in a place you’ve been trying to get into. It’s important to have goals like that. Keeps the band focused.
I agree....just pray for good weather. At least your gear is covered if it does start raining. And don’t forget the foam wind blockers for the mics. Nothing more irritating than wind noise droning through the PA.
We’re playing outside on the street tomorrow night here in my hometown for a local business. Luckily, the forecast is 65* and sunny. Today, it’s cold and rain and Friday is supposed to be raining too.

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

Found out today the headliner is requesting the opening acts use a backline, so I don't have to haul as much stuff now. All I'm required to bring is a snare, kick pedals, and my sticks.
