I just replaced two of the heads on two of my drums with these heads...

One on my 14" x 6" SMD custom made maple snare, and one on my Ddrum maple 13" x7" snare.
I was replacing a Remo Emperor X on my 14" and a Evans coated reverse dot on my 13".
These heads sound great. Nice crack. Just the right amount of ring... and lots of control and response. Especially for a pretty thick head. Im pretty happy with them... Now we will see how long they last.

would you say that they have MORE OR THE SAME sensitivity / responsiveness to stick touch as a coated reverse dot? I just never liked doing double strokes off of those dots.....more so when the dot is on top of course.

i really don't like that head, i bought it (the day of a gig too which was bad) because i completely dented my old snare head the my local drum shop was didn't have the evans PC rev dot. the sound on the dot and off the dot were too different and the rebound sucked too. it didn't really sound good anywhere on the head. it was a bad decision and i decided to blow the head off with a shotgun.
Ive used one before- gave me an okay sound, but i hated how quickly the coating came off the head. and then it was replaced with an evans reverse dot= much better sound and coating.
On a side note- wheres vegas been? i havent seen him in ages. He must have got rich off his snare horse and abandonded us! Oh noes!
