I know we've all heard it but can anyone explain why the studio version cannot be found anywhere on you tube? Unless I'm missing something.. can someone post a link of it here. Thanks

Mitch Mitchell's bass drum sounds so cool in it. Listened to it on the radio today and just wanted to hear it again through the headphones.

I had a chance to see Hendrix not too long after I got out of the service and turned it down.

I saw Hendrix on May 9th, 1970 in Ft. Worth, TX.
Four months later he was dead.

I'm not overloaded with a lot of sympathy when people do themselves in.

There is always someone who thinks that for some special reason, they can "handle" the drugs/booze/whatever.

I've lost several friends to that stuff over the years. I even 12 stepped a guy with a very old friend of mine that was in AA. We were going to take him to The Harbor. He cried, then started to get dressed, then stopped, then started again. This went on for the better part of a hour. I put him up against the wall, told him he had 2 minutes to decide what he was going to do. 2 minutes came and I said to my friend that it's time to go. He wanted to stay saying how can we leave him like this. I told him that he will come with us because I poured a 1/2 bottle of Vodka down the drain that he had hidden in the bathroom. He came with us. I'm guessing that when we walked out the door that he flew into the bathroom to get a hit only to find a empty bottle. There wasn't much he could do, so we took him to the Harbor.

My friend told me that it happens like that 2-3 times a month. I couldn't handle that, I don't have the patience.

We have lost so many good Artists/Musicians to booze, drugs and suicides that it is sickening. I guess the pressure of being famous is too much to handle.

The pressure of being famous is nothing. It's just the excuse that some people make up for them when they buy the farm.
