Default Dusty Springfield - Son of a Preacher Man (Drum Cover)

    Hey all!

For my latest drum cover, I did "Son of a Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield! I love this song's "slightly swung" feel and iconic ride bell pattern at the end. I was re-watching Pulp Fiction the other idea, and felt compelled to play this haha.

Would love your thoughts and hope you enjoy

I thought it sounded great. Man, that's a busy bass line isn't it? By the way, I saw the movie the other day and noticed that song too. I used to play it years ago.

    Hey guys!

I got some great constructive criticism that I was being too rigid and technical in my "Son of a Preacher Man" cover and not playing with a ton of feel. I took it to heart, and really tried playing with more feel this time, and trying to really get in the groove!

Here's my new take of "Son of a Preacher Man." Would love your thoughts

Just make sure you hit the bass drum on beat "1" in the verses. You're missing it sometimes when the bass guitar is playing it. Other than that, I think it sounds pretty good.
