    Default New Ludwig Snare

Ordered this snare back in early April. Wasn’t expecting it till August. Was pleasantly surprised. It was my first time ever checking off boxes when ordering...anything.

10 lug legacy maple shell with re rings. No muffler. The fancier strainer.

    Pretty stoked.

Does it normally take 4 months to get a snare? I guess you had it custom built?

8-12 weeks is the lead time on their site. I think they do a summer break as well. And yeah it was built to order.

Oooooo.........I like that one -- good job.
Back when I had my Legacy kit (before they were called Legacy), all the kits came standard with a Supra 400.
I didn't want a COB snare -- years later I was bummed that I ever let it go.
Ludwig has a long history of making some very good snare drums..............enjoy !

That's the red swirl IIRC. I've seen them in blue and orange and to me (who loves blue) this snare is stunning. Nice score, Kaz!

Yeah. That why I decided to just nut up and get a Ludwig. They just know how to make great drums. And it’s the maple poplar maple shell. OG forumula
