    Hey guys!

I usually play a Roland e-kit these days, but I have an acoustic kit that I use for gigging as well.
Since I'm not as used to playing on an acoustic kit, I was looking for advice on how to improve my setup/make it more ergonomic.

I have kit pics here: https://imgur.com/a/ve5mViG

    Thanks so much!

well it looks like a nice simple 4pc setup.
    Looks ergonomic to me.
So I'm not sure what you're asking?

Do you feel there's something wrong with it?

I agree with Spaz, everything looks easy to get to and in a logical place.

Looks good to me as well, you are probably just not used to sitting at the bigger sized shells and overall the kit probably seems huge compared to most e-kits out there. I had the same issue (reversed) when trying out an e-kit in the past. as long as your not reaching or hyper extending elbows you should be good.

Welcome to the forum gobears10. I see one glaring issue with your rack tom (red circle).

#1. Try NOT to have it sitting on top of the bass drum. Lift it up by at least an inch so it won't dig into the finish as you play.

#2. In order to do this, remove the rack tom and lower the bass drum tom mount (yellow arrow) so you can have more room to adjust the height of the rack tom on the tom holder (yellow circle).

#.3. Once you have readjusted the bass drum tom mount, slide the memory lock on the bass drum tom mount (yellow arrow) so it will lock down the bass drum holder at that height for the next time you need to set up your kit. Slide the rack tom back onto the bass drum mount and leave at least a one inch gap between the rack tom and bass drum.

Here's what I'm suggesting it should look like:

I've also learned for best tom resonance the higher on the tom arm the better the resonance.
So lower the bass drum mount and raise the tom up.

Good catch late8 on the tom sitting on the BD. I didn't even notice

As far as set up goes, not much to change. Definitely take advice from late8 and raise the ride tom.
