That sure is pretty! I just bought a new one too but it was an old Tama lever glide to replace one that I beat up on the road.

I've heard very good things about those hi-hat stands. I currently use a very solid Mapex Janus (not the ergo or transmission variants) which has served me well. However, I'm starting to consider a replacement for it due to ware and tare and this Falcon is a definite contender. I particularly like the way in which the footboard folds up securely which would be an improvement on the Janus design.

I'm considering a short cable remote stand just so I can nestle my 8" tom at 10:00 10:30 along my snare without the hi-hat upright tube interfering. Then I can have the hats an inch or two higher and maybe even angled a hair. But I'm concerned with the feel of the cable friction. People speak of "lag" but it's a solid connection so it's more a drag thing I'm worried about. What details have others encountered?
