I know we all love our new, shiny cymbals and kits. We drool at the sight of brand-new hardware, or even the cleaned up stuff. New sticks, a change in brand, anything that keeps us admiring the look of things, as great as they sound.

But that's not the purpose of this thread. I want to see your battered sticks and heads. What marks do they make? How many sticks do you break? How do they break? From the tip? Do your heads have dips in them? Do you mark up the bottoms of your sticks? Through the long hours of practice, or the mindless rererererehearsing of rudiments, beats, patterns, etc. the look of your drums tell a part of that story. It gets pretty underrepresented, and I always felt that was kind of a shame. If your drums are your canvas, and your sticks are quite literally sometimes your brushes, what's the paint that gets shown?
