Are you a remo guy? Because honestly the most versatile snare head to me is the Evans HD Dry
I recently purchased a new Tama Starphonic Copper 14x7 snare drum. I really love it in the short time I’ve had it. I swapped out the Evans G1 for a Remo CS coated head. Does anyone have this drum? Any opinions on heads and tuning. Thanks for any advice or opinions.

Mostly play Remo but will definitely give it a try. Thanks for input.

wow nice.. 14x7? must've been a small fortune spent. I have a Yamaha copper 14x5.5. It is a little finicky in the tuning area imo. It is pretty loud and seems brighter than my brass Pearl ff 14x6.5. But i love the sound spectrum it brings. I guess that's why i'm so comfortable with my Pearl. I know what I'm going to get anytime i play it. Has a good balance of bright and warm at the same time.
How does yours sound?
