    Default Another Zildjian question

Can anyone identify this Zildjian for me. Its a 20 in rock ride but Im wondering what series it is and whether it is a sheet cymbal or cast. Any help is appreciated.

Looks like the Zildjian Avedis series, which would be a cast cymbal. That would be a nice cymbal. When I upgrade my ride cymbal, I think it would be to this one or the Zildjian K ride.

it is an avedis. cast. that is a very popular and great sounding ride cymbal. not a distinct or original sound but if you want something that sounds like the ride on most typical rock recordings (think pre paragon neil peart) this is your ride.

I called the guy and he still has it. About an hours drive from me which is no biggie. Asking 100 bucks for it. I figure 10-15 bucks in gas so should be worth it. Sounds like what Im after there Funky. Considering IM currently using a 18" Paiste PST3 crash/ride so this thing should sound awesome. Thanks for the help folks.

Man, if that cymbal is in good shape, with no keyholing or cracks, it sounds like a really sweet deal!

Well PB Im not gonna make that drive for the Rock Ride. But I was able to procure a mint 22" Ping Ride here in town for the same price of 100 bucks. THis thing is huge and it cuts through the air like a razor.
