1 has to take into consideration how many people are on those flights.

If a plane that can carry 250-300 people has 22 people on it, that flight will lose a lot of money.

Many of those could also be cargo flights. Hard to tell without more info. Still, it's a lot of flights.

My flight from Orlando to NH last Sunday was completely full, and the Orlando airport was packed.

Some airlines have gounded half their fleets up to 600 planes! If US travel gets shut down it will be a pretty dark time for the industry.

I was supposed to fly this past weekend for my father's 80th birthday. I decided against it as it only takes 1 person not knowing they're infected to make things worse.

I periodically check that map. I love the fact flying exists even though I don't travel much. I still look up in awe as a jet flies overhead at 400 MPH and at 30K ft.

My point is there wasn't much of a drop in flights even though much of the country is on shut down.

I mean if nothing else, there is little to no traffic on the city streets in comparison.

I still have to show up for work every day and it's painless jutting across town now. Takes literally half the time it used to when all the dolts were out puttering around in their jalopies.

I was on a couple of flights last week. All were about 1/4 to capacity.

Might spoil one for the future now that there's actually leg and elbow room. I'm I right?

The thing about flying is, you're breathing stale, recycled air and in such close quarters with everyone else. It's got to be the most unsafe place you can be right now. My friend is a flight attendant and I'm really concerned about her.
