Default My new Rukus Custom Snare!

I've been dreaming of this for months now, and after agonizing over the specs, I finally pulled the trigger on a custom snare from Rukus Drums. It is a 6.5 x 13 bubinga/poplar/wenge shell with an outer ply of santos and re-rings. Finished with danish oil/satin clear coat. Black nickel hardware with an INDe throw. Sounds as amazing as it looks, although my crappy phone camera doesn't do it justice.

Zack, if you're ever in the market for a new snare (duh, who am I talking to?), you should seriously consider a Rukus. Pete will build you any combination of size, wood species, finish and hardware you want, and the results are outstanding!

I'm always in for a custom build!

Believe it or not I've been seriously considering selling off a bunch of my standard snares so I can focus on all custom snares lol

If I bought one of those, it’d be like having a $1000 tie for my $200 suit!

Congrats on that gorgeous snare drum!

Thanks! It did cost more than a few of my kits, but I figured, life is short, if I can have a snare made that's like no other, and my wife is OK with it, why not?
