Drummers, if you were going to purchase a new drum throne would you get the Roc N Soc Nitro Base Original Seat Drum Throne or the Ahead Spinal G Deluxe Drum Throne, and why?

I use the Ahead Spinal G and love it. It is by far the most comfortable throne I've ever perched upon.

I have both. I have had my roc n soc for 10 years now and zero issues. I just bought the spinal glide last year. Love it as well maybe even a little better for 4hr gigs but my only complaint with it is not being able to find a back rest that works with it. I have tried fitting gibraltar and dw back rest and neither line up correctly and Ahead has given me zero support on the issue.

Might as well be able to multi-task while you are playing, and in case of emergency, you won't have far to go.

Have you ever tried removing your pants, jamming with the band and in the middle of Led Zep's, Rock n Roll?

Can't say as I have, but it has to be better than a corn cob and an outhouse.

Is that extra padding or just a height helping? I guess it’d be like adding an extra “splash” to the kit as well!

I'd love to have me a BCII (Bum Chum II) but geez, $1,500+? That's a cost of a intermediate kit.

I have a Roc & Soc Nitro (I think that's what they call it) with both seats and don't like either 1 of them.

They sit behind my Pearls and are going to be replaced by a Gibraltar seat like I have behind my Ludwigs.
