    Jimmy Cobb is one of the giants of jazz drumming. He played in Miles Davis' first great sextet. One of the drummers more concerned with taste and playing the music.

    He recorded more than 20 albums under his own name, and played and recorded with Cannonball Adderley, Donald Byrd, Nat Adderley , Lorez Alexandria,Geri Allen, Dorothy Ashby, Kenny Barron and John Hicks, Walter Benton, Walter Bishop Jr., Nick Brignola, Paul Chambers, Al Cohn, John Coltrane, Miles Davis , Joey DeFrancesco, Kenny Dorham, Kenny Drew, Ricky Ford, Curtis Fuller, Benny Golson, Paul Gonsalves, Bunky Green, Bill Hardman, Joe Henderson, John Hendricks, John Hicks and Elise Wood, Wynton Kelly, Hubert Laws, Johnny Lytle, Harold Mabern, Pat Martino, Ronnie Mathews, With Billy Mitchell, Wes Montgomery, Frank Morgan, David "Fathead" Newman, Art Pepper, Jimmy Raney, Sonny Red, Shirley Scott, Wayne Shorter, Don Sleet, Sonny Stitt, Teri Thornton, Bobby Timmons, Norris Turney, Phil Upchurch, Sarah Vaughan,With Cedar Walton, Dinah Washington, C.
