Doug Clifford (Douglas Raymond "Cosmo" Clifford) was the drummer for "Creedence Clearwater Revival" more commonly known as "CCR" which played from 1968 to 1972. They originated in California and played at Woodstock. Doug also recorded with the The Don Harrison Band.

CCR was one of the "big bands" selling more than 28,000,000 albums and had many songs that have been covered by many people.
