Juan Amalbert (Emmanuel Amalbert) is an Amercian conga drummer who took his father's name out of reverence to him. His father was Puerto Rican and mother American.

He played with the Duke Ellington, Sarah Vaughan, Josephine Baker, Aretha Franklin, Ahmad Jamal, Nancy Wilson, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, the Thad Jones Orchestra, James Moody, John Coltrane, Katherine Dunham, and others. He has a Latin jazz quintet is based in Copenhagen.
