Victor Lewis is an American jazz drummer, composer, and educator (born May 20, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska). He moved to New York City and started playing and recording with many jazz musicians. He was heavily influenced by Tony Williams. Later his major influences were Art Blakey, Kenny Clarke, Max Roach, and Philly Joe Jones.
