Chuck Ruff (1951-2011) was an Amrican drummer mostly know for playing and recording with Edgar Winter. The first band he played with was "Sawbucks" with Ronnie Montrose and Bill Church.

Later, Chuck joined Sammy Hagar and recorded albums with him and then he played and recorded with "the Michael Furlong Band", "Adam Bomb", and "the Max Volume Band". After that he had his own band "the Chuck Ruff Group".

He was in several movies: "In Concert", Kenngy Rogers - "Rollin' on the River", "Flipside", "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert", "The Midnight Special", "The Old Grey Whistle Test", and "American Banstand". He is also on the song "Bad Reputation" (Sammy Hagar) in the movie "Up the Academy".
