What drummer has influenced you the most over the last 5 years?
If you had to just pick one, what drummer has influenced you the most over the last 5 years? Who's had the greatest affect on your playing or your motivation to be the best drummer you can be?

Everyone loves FREE... like this free drum forum. But like your car and even your drums, they require upkeep and maintenance and that requires money.

I know from working with Drum Bum through the years, that this forum is costly to run. It requires server fees, hosting, ongoing moderation, advertising, software upgrades, security certificates and IT work when it breaks. All in addition to the expenses that come from running a business. These costs are offset (hopefully) by members that click through to Drum Bum to make a purchase now and then, if not make a contribution to help keep it running.

Tom, the people that "inspired" me are all gone. Come December 14th, I'll be playing these damn fool things for 64 years. There is nothing left to prove.

Probably Bobby Jarzombek.. it's hard to believe my ears with some of the stuff he does. I want to be a good drummer but don't care about being the best drummer if that makes sense.. i lack desire and commitment i guess..

Toss up between Chris “Whipper” Layton and Rich Redmond.
Five piece DW Design Series, Six piece Mapex Armory, Mapex Black Panther Blade and Mapex Exterminator snare drums, Sabian AAX cymbals.
