    Joe Chambers is a jazz drummer who was born in 1942 in Chester, Pennsylvania.

    He made twelve albums as leader and recorded and played with With Franck Amsallem, Chet Baker, Donald Byrd, Chick Corea, Stanley Cowell, Miles Davis, Art Farmer, Don Friedman, Jimmy Giuffre, Joe Henderson, Andrew Hill, Freddie Hubbard, Bobby Hutcherson (ten albums), Robin Kenyatta, Lee Konitz, Hubert Laws, Ray Mantilla, M'Boom, Charles Mingus, Grachan Moncur III, Karl Ratzer, Sam Rivers, Jeremy Steig, Woody Shaw, Archie Shepp (six albums), Wayne Shorter, Heiner Stadler, John Stubblefield, Ed Summerlin, The Super Jazz Trio, Hidefumi Toki, Charles Tolliver, McCoy Tyner, Miroslav Vitous, Tyrone Washington, Joe Zawinul and others.

    This is Joe playing "Breaking Point" on Freddie Hubbard's (trumpet) album "Breaking Point" (1964). James Spaulding (alto sax, flute), Ronnie Mathews (piano), Eddie Khan (bass).

    This is Joe playing "Point of Many Returns" on the Sam River (tenor, soprano sax) album "Contours" (1965) with Freddie Hubbard (trumpet), Herbie Hancock (piano), and Ron Carter (bass).
