Wow! How cool!
Playing around with paint before, I wasn’t happy with the results. I’ve decided to go this route but with spray paint and electrical items. I only have this 12” Tom partially done to get an idea of what I’m doing. I think I like this better.

Everyone loves FREE... like this free drum forum. But like your car and even your drums, they require upkeep and maintenance and that requires money.

I know from working with Drum Bum through the years, that this forum is costly to run. It requires server fees, hosting, ongoing moderation, advertising, software upgrades, security certificates and IT work when it breaks. All in addition to the expenses that come from running a business. These costs are offset (hopefully) by members that click through to Drum Bum to make a purchase now and then, if not make a contribution to help keep it running.
On behalf of Drum Bum, thank you for your consideration.
Thank you Tom.
First tom finished (pic below)
Started second tom. It will take some time while I’m acquiring parts I’d like to use.

Thanks MDK. I have lightly sanded them but not recut. This was a kit a guitarist had at his place and was replaced with something better. The kit was missing half of it lugs and had a warped wrap...etc. Now just a fun project on the side.
I will when I get the parts. Some of them have flat surfaces that will be difficult to put on a rounded drum. Still working that out or using something else.
Taking me a while to get done. I’m not buying any parts. It’s what I can come up with randomly. My 13” so far.

I was thinking to possibly install an old car stereo with booster, eq and speakers in/on bass drum. Just an idea.
