Phil Seamen
Phil Seamen (1926-1972) was born in Staffordshire, England. He was a big band drummer and played with all the notable jazz muscianss during the 1950s and 1960s.
Some of the muscians were Joe Harriott, Tubby Hayes, Stan Tracey, Ronnie Scott, Denny Termer, Dick Morrissey, Harold McNair, Don Rendell, Victor Feldman, Dizzy Reece, Tony Coe, Tony Lee, George Chisholm, and others. Later in his career he worked with Alexis Korner and Georgie Fame.
One of Phil's students was Ginger Baker.
This is Phil playing "Kick Off" on the album "Drummin' Men - Greatest Jazz Drummers".
