    Hiram Winard Harper was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1962 and is a jazz drummer.

    He has recorded as leader​ more than six albums and played and recorded with The Harper Brothers, Ray Bryant, Betty Carter, Wycliffe Gordon, Etta Jones, David "Fathead" Newman (five albums), Houston Person, Avery Sharpe, Billy Taylor, Frank Wess, Monty Alexander, T. K. Blue, Don Braden, Kenny Drew Jr., Chico Freeman, Sara Lazarus, Curtis Lundy, Herbie Mann, Carmen McRae, Betty Carter, Mark Murphy, Tete Montoliu, Jimmy Owens, Jimmy Ponder, Janis Siegel, Harvie Swartz, Bross Townsend, Nancy Wilson, Steve Turre, and others.
