Ted Harvey (1930-2016) was born in Chicagos Illinois and was a blues drummer who played with the legendry "Hound dog Taylor & The HouseRockers".

Bruce Iglauer, Alligator Records founder, said Hound Dog Taylor & The HouseRockers is the band that gave the famous Alligator Records it start, and Ted was a third of that band. Ted played in such a way that the band was propelled forward and made it easy for people to dance. His style was very much traditional Chicago style. He was probably the last great chicagos shuffle drummer."

Ted Played and recorded with such blues legends as Jimmy Dawkins, Big Walter Horton, Barrelhouse Chuck, J.B. Hutto, Jimmy Rogers, Snooky Pryor, Brewer Phillips, Hip Linkchain, Pinetop perkins, Left Hand Frank, Cub Koda, Memphis Slim, Cousin Joe, and many others.
