William Calhoun was born in 1964 in the Bronx, NYC and is an American drummer who is a member of the rock band Living Colour. He moved to Boston and graduated from Berklee with a degree in music production and engineering.

He received the Buddy Rich Jazz Master award for outstanding performances in drumming and was voted "Best New Drummer of 1988" and "Number One Progressive Drummer" three times (1989, 1991, 1992) by Modern Drummer magazine's reader's poll. He was named "Best Drummer of 1990" by Rolling Stone's critic's poll.

He won two Grammy Awards in 1989 and 1990 for best hard rock performance with "Living Colour"

He has played with Jungle Funk, HeadFake, and made his own albums. He also played with Pharoah Sanders, BB King, Herb Alpert, Dr. John, Jaco Pastorius, Wayne Shorter, Marcus Miller, Public Enemy, and Ronnie Wood.
