That's 1 of those "pat on the a$$" things. He is way better than Ringo though.
... according to Music Radar readers. Wow, he's a great drummer but "best rock drummer in the world"? I'm not sure I would agree with that one.

Everyone loves FREE... like this free drum forum. But like your car and even your drums, they require upkeep and maintenance and that requires money.

I know from working with Drum Bum through the years, that this forum is costly to run. It requires server fees, hosting, ongoing moderation, advertising, software upgrades, security certificates and IT work when it breaks. All in addition to the expenses that come from running a business. These costs are offset (hopefully) by members that click through to Drum Bum to make a purchase now and then, if not make a contribution to help keep it running.
On behalf of Drum Bum, thank you for your consideration.

ONCE YOU HIT A CERTAIN AGE, YOU BECOME PERMANENTLY UNIMPRESSED BY A LOT OF CRAP.
I HIT THAT AGE 20 YEARS AGO.
So what's the sound of a 1 arm man clapping at this accomplishment?
I'd also disagree but it's amazing what he's accomplished over the years and adapted

Rick was my original influence to be a drummer. I absolutely love his drumming.
Five piece DW Design Series, Six piece Mapex Armory, Mapex Black Panther Blade and Mapex Exterminator snare drums, Sabian AAX, Centent Emperor, & Centent Lad Legend cymbals
LOL, man how any drummer can **** on Ringo is beyond me but whatever to each their own I guess. Rick Allen is a great drummer and truly to continue on after such an horrific accident is a testament to his dedication and heart but I agree with drummer, not the best ever. I am not even sure he did anything signature or creative that nobody else did before or after him which IMO is very important when talking about greatest ever. Just about any drummer can have chops. (except me)

Rick used traditional grip when he had his left limb... always thought that was pretty cool.. the power he had playing that way.. his snare always sounded huge on the records.
Don't mean to run the thread off the tracks here but this is a pretty good video of Joe Elliot's vocals isolated... he ( Ken Tamplin) does a lot of these videos of many vocalists.
