    Unhappy Hardware Compatibility

Hello to all whom this may concern. In everyone's experience, what brand of drum shells are compatible with Pearl hardware?

I recently had to toss my Pearl Roadshow shells because they were made of craptastic poplar, and my basement flooded. The bass drum sounded like a 55 gallon rubbermaid trashcan, but thankfully the pedal was good as new with some gun lubricant.

I want to be able to use the hardware I bought for the shells, but maybe find another brand of rack tom that can be mounted to the Pearl T930 double tom stand to get the orientation I like (2 up, 2 down). I want to use a 20" bass drum, instead of a 22", I have a budget of $900, and I don't want poplar shells.

I cannot find a Pearl shell pack from a reputable dealer with these specs, new or otherwise. Am I just screwed?
