    Even though it wasn't mine.

Our first gig with this new project is officially in the books. According to the casino, many that were there and even my wife all said it was a great show and she had a fun time. For being on a stage to benefit the house and not the band was different. Built in crowd, lots of positive comments, and most likely we should get in the rotation according to all the indicators.

Here's a couple of shots. Not sure if recording will ever happen. I don't have a lot of control of my free time while employed at the casino and there are tons of rules to follow.

This goes against the fiber of my being but the casinos all supply the stage gear. I had to bring a stick bag and my vocal mic. After last night, I'm good with it. No set up or tear down, just a sound check, free dinner and then 3.5 hour show for more than twice what the local bar scene pays. Plus, I was home by 1 AM instead of hearing "last call." I also don't have to unload my gear today. More later, hopefully.

Nice sounds like a great gig. I would have to bring my own pedal as well but not having to set up and tear down for more money?? pffft yeah I can do that!

Well the kit was DW with Zildjian As so I was tolerant. DW5000 single pedal and DW round padded throne. DW hardware. Senn 604 mics and a paid for sound and light guy. We've done worse. lol

I have the option to bring anything I want of my own but for the first time out, I figured I'd give it a shot. I guess I'm not that picky. After 50 years of hauling gear, I can put up with what the casinos supply. I should be so lucky.

yeah if I could snag a gig like that I would in a heart beat.. no setup or tear down... a meal included, good pay for once lol and being home hour or two earlier without having to unload once you get home... that's a good time!
