Default Drum Restoration Now A Kit Project

After I had my 20"x 18" 1976 Ludwig floor tom restored, I thought about selling it, but my wife convinced me to keep it since I had it for 40 years(not that it took much convincing). So then my thoughts turned to, why have just one great vintage drum? So the search began, and some significant progress was made in the last few days. I scored a 1976 white cortex 14" x "10 rack tom in good condition. The chrome can use some polishing, and I'll have my friend Pete from Rukus Drums recut the edges and buff out the scuffs. Now I'm on the lookout for a 24" or 26" kick from the same era. This will be a tough get. I've seen a few but they're a bit pricey. Once I find that, a snare will be relatively easy to find, either an Acrolite or a Supra. Can't wait to get this oversized beast all together!
