Default Band logo and Good sound check song

    Hey guys,

Just joined a new classic/somewhat modern rock band after taking the last 15 months or so off and besides the usual new band bumps it is going very well. 2 questions.

    1) What do you use to develop a band logo? I used a logo generator but that was weak, any other ideas? Band name is "Got it covered"

    2) what is a good song for sound check purposes? My old band just did a 12 bar blues thing but I always thought that was weak for a classic rock band.

Decide whether this is love for the craft or simply an ego thing

    1. Try Canva
    2. One of the old standards that everyone knows like Mustang Sally or something easy that doesn't take any thought. You want your attention to be on the mix, not on the song.

    1. Try and art student, or just putz around yourself on MS Paint
    2. As an eclectic mix of 60's, 70's, and 80's, Motown Funk, and some modern stuff, my band uses "Draggin the Line" for sound check. Starts out bass and drums, then adds guitar, adds keys, then lead vox, then 1st harmony, then 2nd harmony, then finally everything/one is in. It really helps us get instrument levels and vocals set well by layering. We often get an ovation for our soundcheck...
