Welcome to Drum Chat.
An easy identifier for drums would be pictures of the badges. The people "in the know" can tell a lot from the shell badges. Can you post yours for us to get better information? Thanks!

Welcome to Drum Chat Bushwacker!
Bummer all 4 kits 6 ply thanks Rick. One kit has different lugs, same as world series and does say export. Sorry can't post pics yet
Hi there, I've had all versions of these two kits.
The Export (original) were made of 9-ply Philippine mahogany & had 3 piece Lugs. Great kits & virtually indestructible.
The World Series were split into two marks. The MK1 were 8 ply shells - 2 inner plies were linden, 5 plies mahogany, and 1 outer ply birch. Later MK2 shells (from 1989) were 7-ply birch/mahogany. The World Series also had better Hardware with a 10-Lug Bass Drum & Snare along with "Coffin" Lugs, They also had the same Bass Drum Spurs & Tom Arms as the BLX/MLX.
The World Series then became the Session Series. They are highly regarded drums
The Varukers.
My mistake.I thought the early W.S. were maple. These drums have received great reviews. And welcome Bushwacker

I have 3 sets of the 3 piece lugs and there are 2 difference in them 1 set has a a straight edges with a line down the middle of the top and bottom part of the lugs the other 2 have are much more rounded on the edges. And don't have the line down the middle And the 4 the has the coffin type on the bass with a gold and black rectangular label that just says pearl and the mounted tom the label much the same just a bit bigger and under the pearl logo say pearl exports series these are a 2 piece lug missing the piece in the middle and the lugs are similar with that line down the middle. Mahogany and birch. I'm at the conclusion that this one is the first and they were Finishing off there stock of lugs.
