    Default Which Heads?

Hi everybody.I have a Pacific LX 10 lug snare (maple,2007)which I think already sounds really good with stock DW heads.Coated top, clear bottom.Anybody know a head combination that may make it sound even better? Thanks.

I used to have one of those snares. An Evans coated Genera and a clear snare-side 300 always sounded good on mine. Peace and goodwill.

for me I always use the snare side 300 but I found the PDP snare wires are kinda weak. Swap them with some puresounds.

For heads, I'm a heavy hitter so I prefer the Evans HD Dry and cranked :P

Kinda personal preference for snares though

After many, many years of faffing around with snares, I just now use a Coated Ambassador (or any one ply alternative) over a 300 Snare Side. This combination 'just works'
