Another Live Show

Daryl Hall and Todd Rundgren with the Daryl's House Band last night. Daryl always puts on a good show because, how can he not with all of those great songs? Todd, on the other hand, really impressed me. He is a great entertainer. I guess that's why they are Hall of Famers. You can tell Brian Dunne , on drums, has been with Hall for a while. Sitting right there in the pocket all night long.

Last night went to see Pat Metheny, Chris Fishman, and Joe Dyson. Fantastic show. Some shows you just listen, with these guys you are enveloped in the music. Joe Dyson was outstanding, very articulate and dynamic. Two hours wasn't enough.

Took my brother to The Rascals concert last night. Small venue, Ocean City Music Pier. He really enjoyed it, brought back a lot of memories. Good sound guy, not overly loud, good mix. New drummer Vinnie Santoro held up his end well.

Took my oldest son to see Elvis Costello last night, he grew up listening to this stuff. Great show, old stuff, new stuff, and some lesser known stuff, all excellent. Pete Thomas laid down a solid groove all night long, and I mean long, 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Took my youngest son, my wife, and my brother to The Mavericks concert last night, they all loved it. Still the best live band around. You have to see these guys live. Great show. Two hours of excellent, on your feet music.

Last night went with my wife to see Duran Duran with Nile Rodgers & Chic and Bastille. Another great night. Bastille giving everybody that dance party vibe. Then Nile comes out and plays about every song you've heard on the radio since the 70's. Duran Duran comes out and rocks the joint for about 2 hours. They acted like they didn't want to leave the stage. Between Nile and Duran Duran it was a toss as to who was the headliner. Either I am making great choices on bands to see, or they are all fantastic, Iv'e seen some really good shows since covid shut everything down.

Another really good show last night with my brother. Al Stewart with the Empty Pockets. Empty Pockets opened and then backed Al. For a bunch of young guys and girl, they sounded like they've been playing his songs forever.

Took my wife to see Little Feat last night. These guys are still amazing. Six guys make so much sound. Tony Leone (drummer)plays his butt off.Another fantastic show.
