Question Do Broomsticks cut it ?

Does using broomsticks (or even brushes) on an electronic drum set add anything to the feel of the sound or is it just a flat sound that is triggered on impact?

    Welcome to Drum Chat.

It doesn't matter what you hit it with. Electronic drums are not made to be played hard. Softer is better, letting the trigger do the work.

Only limit I would put on the striker is don't use something heavier than what the rack or support device can tolerate.

Those are ok. It's the metal ones to watch out for. They dent hoops, too. YMMV
