    I put this off for about a year. I wanted to do this to my other Mustang but having to take the dash apart, take the steering wheel off, take the dash trim off over to the passenger side made it seem like 1 hell of a project.

    I didn't watch the time but it was done from start to finish in less than 5 hours. Everything comes apart fairly easy, maybe 10 screws. Take the analog out, pull 1 plug from it, put the plug in the digital ( 1 plug for all the info you get) and it fits perfectly back in place. Then it's just a matter of putting everything back together.

    The CAI was done a couple of weeks ago.

    I figured you were more of a vacuum hoses,oil lines, and sensor lines running all over the place, kind of guy. Looks good though.

    Rick, I was a backyard mechanic for a long time. My brother-in-law and I rebuilt motors in my grandfathers workshop, changed motors, clutches, rear ends on jackstands in the yard. I had a '88 GT bought new. Cost me about $300 to get into the 13's and a K to get it in the 12's. I would stop there because the NHRA said that once you hit the 12's you had to put a roll bar in it.

    And once you hit the 12s the bucks go way up and a ton of shop time.

    That's where I stopped Rick. You can get into the '12's on the motor alone. If you decide to head for the '11's, or even the '10's, now you have to start beefing up the bottom and there goes a couple of K before you even get into the motor.

    Me and a couple of buds used to rebuild and/or swap out all kinds of stuff. Some of them raced ( Front Street , Philly ). I didn't.

    I was a street racer until I almost got killed on Tonnelle Ave. After that all my racing was done at Englishtown.
