Bass drum creep

My kick is creepin yes Creeping any suggestions on keeping that sucker still the kits set up on carpet may be im hitting that pedal to hard haha i do bury the beater

Do you have rubber tips on the spurs?If so, get them out of the way. Let the spurs dig in.If you don't have spurs on your pedal, stick a tacky piece of velcro on the bottom. How big is your carpet? Is it big enough to reach from the spurs to the back legs of your drum throne? Hope this helps

The kit is setup on a carpeted room so may be ill get a carpet rug of some sort so I can use the Velcro strips on it does have spurs with spickes thanks for your advice..

You can try the anchor that fits on the front hoop. Gibraltar probably makes one. There's another thing too .. I can't think of the company now, but it's a strap that loops around the bass drum spurs and the base of your throne.

I never took it out if the box since I got it but always have it in my bag. Got it after we played the Clermont Lounge in Atlanta. It's a famous (novelty) strip club that's been around forever... and some of the strippers too if you know what I mean. The stage is wooden and they don't lay anything out to set up on and from the first hit ro the last my base drum moved .. really sucked.

I'm not one to haul around a rug either though.

That strap is a joke I saw that on youtube its a trip hazard no good for me I like a couple drinks when I play no I don't gig home setup.

I had a piece of 1/4" plywood cut into the shape of a T that the BD sat on with holes for the spurs WITH the rubber tips on them. The plywood ran back so my stool could sit on it. That sat on a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet that my whole set sat on.

The BD went NOWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I created my own "bass drum stop" by using the 90 degree portion of a molded plastic crate and covering the floor portion with velcro so it grips my drum rug.
Works great and nobody can see it.

Rick, that's a great idea, the downside is that when I started with my plywood T, crates were all made out of wood. I had to wait for the Bronze Age to get cymbals!!!!!

My 1st set was a log and 2 leg bones (I didn't ask where they came from) I didn't get too many ladies but did draw more than a few animals that appeared to want to put me on the menu.
