D-Day

79 years and a couple of hours ago D-Day started. The single most important day of the 20th Century.

Things surely would be different had D-day not happened.

Agreed....and Churchill was warning Eisenhower that it had too many risks to be a success.

Band of Brothers starts early morning June 6th, 1944 and goes from there.

I had my father, his 4 brothers, 6 cousins, and his best friend PLUS 2 men that would marry my mother's sister's AND the man who would become my stepfather ALL OF THEM FOUGHT IN THE PACIFIC. Not 1 fought in Europe.

My father lost a brother on the Canal, 1of his cousins on Saipan, and 1 on Okinawa, and his best friend was shot down over the Solomons and nothing was ever found.

I didn't grow up on Howdy Doody, I grew up on war stories.

War is so barbaric. That Russian guy is pathetic. Using him because he's the latest tyrant in the world.

It's the 21st century, There shouldn't be any more wars

Until men get their heads out of their butts OR the ladies take over, we will always have war.
