Whoa!! You were so into drumming. You gave it all up? Or just put it to the side?

Man, that set up is impressive!! Please make some videos of this thing in action. Would love to see it.

Nothing happening on the music scene around here that still interests me. Been there done that, not looking to repeat. Tired of hauling gear. Tired of long gigs with short pay. Tired of playing what I don't want to play just to perform. Blah, had enough. I milked it long enough. Let the youngn's do the doin' now.

Same situation so I get it. I still play out but not as often and I scaled my kit way down. I only use a 5 piece now and only 3 cymbals. Luckily, most of the gigs I play these days are short gigs and if I do weddings, they pay $400-$500 a man so that's what keeps me in the game. Otherwise, I'm most interested in playing here at home. I still like learning new licks but they aren't anything you'd play on your average top 40 gig.

Did you sell all your drums?

    That racing set-up is rad!!

40 years ago, when I quit playing in a band, I was tired of all the bullsh$t. Lugging gear, dealing with moronic bar owners, practicing or playing every night, it got to be worse than a job. Now I play in my basement with my brother and my bud or go hit a jam night a couple of nights a month. If we play anywhere it's where and when we want. That's enough for me. And yeah, weddings are the way to go.

Yeah, the setup is very cool. I've made some more changes since that picture but not much you'd notice unless you were right there.

I am in the process of selling what gear I have left. My Yammys are gone except the 12" MT. I've sold the 8" and 14" toms to my DW Performers. I basically have a 4 pc shell pack left and still have all the hardware. I have a ton of stuff yet to liquidate but it's going well.

Here's a better view after completion. I decided to use my PA as the sound producer. You know, like glass packs. LOL

Here's a picture of the rig after getting it put together and somewhat functional. I didn't have the seat yet or the monitor stand.

In the last picture you can barely see a corner desk with computer and monitors in front of the office chair. That's my home office. That's where I'm sitting right now. lol
