Default Canopus R Type Carbon Fiber Snare

Looking for a carbon fiber snare drum and was leaning the Canopus version or possibly the DW. Anyone have any experience with carbon fiber snare drums? Any recommendations? Or if you can talk me out of purchasing one. Thanks!

I've never owned one but can tell you, it's going to be harder type of sound, which has never appealed to me personally. I don't even like metal drums that much for the same reason.

I have no experience with carbon fiber shells. I like to stay with what I know, even though that isn't much.
