    Default Road Trip

I just returned from a 42-day (7,600 mile) road trip.
I got to see the 6 states that I had not yet seen....now, I've been to all 50, including Alaska....a bucket list item complete.
Lots of fantastic new sights and discoveries.
Sadly, here at DC, nothing new.

South Dakota was a beautiful state....all over, but especially the SW quarter.
Glacier Park, MT is just jaw dropping amazing......as are parts of Yellowstone.
Alaska is truly the last frontier and yet to be screwed by mankind.

    Drove a CR-V and got 31 mpg.
Least expensive gas was Little Rock, AR. @ $2.95.
Most expensive gas was Washington state average = $5.09.

Rick, if you didn't see the Gateway Arch, Barringer Meteor Crater, drive the Pacific Coast Highway and last but certainly not least, the Grand Canyon, I think that you missed a few places.

Rick, I wasn't trying to be sarcastic, I'm just amazed at the amount of people I've met over the years that have said that they have driven "cross-country", and I'll ask them what they thought of "anyplace" and they say "Oh, we didn't see that", and I'm thinking "Hell, you haven't seen anything".

My T-shirt reads "Been There, Done That, Wanna Do It Again".

    No worries.
Our objective was to visit the six states we had never seen before.
    Minnesota -- S. Dakota -- N. Dakota -- Montana -- Idaho -- Alaska
We threw in 8 more on the trip back home.
It was nice (in August) to wake up to 59 degrees at Glacier Park....beautiful.
