He was the master!!
I was completely heartbroken when I heard the bus tapes where he belittled, humiliated, and bullied his band members. I lost so much respect for him and could never see him the same way again.

Arrogant, not really. Perfectionist, without doubt.
I got to know Buddy when he had his clubs in NY. Off stage he was a nice guy. We would talk cars, martial arts, service time, but the only time he ever talked drummers was when he said that he liked Danny Seraphine.
I've heard the bus tapes and having been around Buddy with guys from his band all I can say is that something had to have happened to bring that on.
