    Default I'm lost

What's up y'all. I've been away from the chat for a while, and playing in general. My Rogers kit is stacked up in the closet not getting played at all, and my Mapex kit is set up and collecting dust. I'm thinking of selling it ALL and getting a SMALL e kit but I have no idea what to get. I don't want to spend a lot as I don't play much anymore. Where do I even begin? I'd like some help, as to maybe how much to ask for what I got, or what to purchase. How is the Alesis Nitro Max kit? Can I put a double pedal pedal on the kick pad? Is it too low entry level?

"How is the Alesis Nitro Max kit?"
    Fragile IMHO.
A 2nd user Yamaha or Roland is a better investment.
What's your budget and where are you?

Don't really have a budget, but cheaper is better. I don't want to spend anything since I don't really play, but if it's a good deal I might just do it. I'm in central Wisconsin.

Personally I wouldn't waste money on a cheap e-kit. You will not have any quality or good sounds. Unless you are willing to put out a minimum of 1500 USD save your money.

Thinking outside the box, price out an e-kit conversion for your acoustic drums. That would be a better way to invest and if that works out sell the kit you like the least. You may break even.

Bumping this up since I just went through researching what's new in the ekit world. I can share what I learned since my budget was limited. My first ekit was the Yamaha DTXtreme lll made in 2000 ish. it was very limited in sound samples but I loved that Yamaha loaded the module with sample from their acoustic kits. Fast forward to '24 and I found myself looking again at ekits under $1k. Settled on a entry level NU-X 210 at $563 USD. Cheap but flexible to where I could use virtual drum software via USB midi port like EZdrummer 3. The NU-X became nothing but a midi controller and I had better sound samples to choose from. I ended up donating the NU-X 210 to a church that needed a quite alternative to an acoustic kit. The only drawback about entry level ekits is the cheap hardware used to keep the price down but for $563, NU-X came with mesh heads. What I didn't like about the NU-X were the sizes of pads. The ekits $1500+ have bigger pads and cymbals but I'm not that target buyer who would spend over $1k on an ekit. I have three acoustic kit I rather play than to lock myself into an expensive ekit.

I have an Roland TD07 KV arriving today. It's considered entry level at $999 but my reason for the purchase is to use it for collaborating with a guitar player and to record directly into the DAW. The kit has enough bells and whistles to cover the basics needed make music.
