Portable stereo recorder?

Has anyone used one of those portable hand held stereo recorders for band practice recordings? If so, how are they? I know there are several brands. I’d like some input and opinions cause I’m new to this type of item. Thanks in advance.

I just use Voice Memo on my phone. It's less complicated.
