Default Cord straps .. something else

What do you prefer for your snares strainer/wires?

I have used both cord and plastic strap and even a heavy kind of packing tape that was on one of my Tama snares. A 7x14 Artstar ( i think ) with the freedom lugs.

None of that worked for me though, especially those worthless plastic strips that come with a lot of wires.

My solution was a strong fabric strip cut to length. I could never get the other stuff tight enough until the fabric ones. They’re very easy to work with.

They’re on all my snares for over 10 years now

I have used grosgrain ribbon for a long time. I also could not seem to get the cord or plastic strap tight enough.

I find this interesting. I've rarely ever had any problems with snare straps of any kind.

I don't have any problem with whatever is handy. I've cut strips of drum heads to use.
