1 of my favorite shows from the '80's that no 1 ever heard of. It was an English show that never had a set time or day. The only thing you could be sure of was that it wouldn't come on till after midnight.
I thought the theme song was 1 of the best. It has a great moving beat to it. This video has 2 versions which, in reality, is just a different opening on the 2nd 1.
Michael Brandon went to England to do the series and wound up marrying Glynis Barber. I can't blame him; she was a gorgeous lady.

Yes, she was! By the way, the drummer on that track was Harold Fisher. According to chatGBT...
"The drummer who played on the theme song for Dempsey & Makepeace, the British TV series that aired from 1985 to 1986, was Harold Fisher. Fisher is a renowned session drummer who contributed to many TV and film soundtracks during the 1980s. The theme was composed by Alan Parker, a prolific composer for television and film." It also said, "Harold Fisher has worked with many top-tier musicians and producers, providing drum tracks for countless hit songs and scores."
Cool little melody. Reminds me of other hit theme songs from that 80's area.
