Here Is My New AAX Setup

Here is my new cymbal setup. They are all Sabian AAX. They are all thin, except for the hats, which are medium.

These will probably be my cymbals for the rest of my drumming career. Peace and goodwill.

Those are two 16 inch thin crashes that are very different in pitch. There is one 17 inch crash that is very low pitched, 14 inch hats, and a 21 inch ride. What do the rest of you play? Peace and goodwill.

I actually removed the higher-pitched 16 inch crash from my setup. Since the ride is crashable, I still have three crashes. Peace and goodwill

Nope. I have collected a complete set of Sabian cymbals plus a few splashes through out the years.

With the exception of the 12” K Hybrid splash here’s what I typically use for this set up from left to right:

14” AAX Fast Hats
16” AA Rock crash
18” AAX Dark crash
20” AAX Stage ride
14” HHX Xtreme crash

In the vault:

13” HHX Evolution Signature Dave Weckl hats with rivets and bottom hat cup mod with two vent holes (modded by Sabian).

19” AAX XTreme Chinese
14” HHX Evolution mini Chinese
12” AAX splash
10” AAX splash
