I Went Metal!

Last week I went to C&M Music in Lafayette, Louisiana and traded some PA gear for a Mapex steel-shelled snare. So I went metal. Peace and goodwill.

Nice! It came with a Mapex case too? I love metal snare drums. They cut right through the mix and offer a nice ring when played with no dampening. Looks like a 6.5x14?

I have an old timey Blackrolite, great for cross sticking. With the adjustable muffler you can get a lot of different sounds.

I just measured it. It is a 14x5 that is from a student setup. It came with the case, a stand, a pair of drum sticks, and a practice pad. Peace and goodwill.
