Seriously, it gets like this every once and awhile. What will happen then is 15-20 drummers will rediscover how to write (or print in some cases) and all will write "War and Drums" in various comment sections.

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times".

This is what I have started to write. It's the story of my 2 marriages.

I hear you. One marriage for me and one divorce. I won't be making that mistake again. And a fellow Jerseyite. Cool.

When I posted this I was comparing the activity of this forum with another drum forum, which prompted my comment. I know some forums don't like other forums mentioned, so I won't. It's now time to light up a bowl and begin my nightly wind down.

A lot of older forums are like that now ever since other platforms like Facebook groups started dominating. We still have a dedicated family here. They are sometimes very active, sometimes not as much.
    We appreciate all your input.

I was wondering if there are any Drummerworld Forum members here. I ask because I just tried to log into their forum and received the following error:

Oops! We ran into some problems
An error occurred while the page was being generated. Please try again later.

It shows me as logged in but all I can see is this message and cannot navigate the site. Is the site down? If not, I wonder if I've been banned. But I received no emails saying I am banned. So, anyone know if the site is up and running as usual?

    Thanks.

Yeah, I've come across them before but couldn't tell you who. There's a lot of guys that make the rounds. I know Drum Bum is talking about revamping this forum now that Drumming.com is completed.

I was able to log in. Must have been a temporary issue. My own paranoia has me concerned that I'm banned. Does that in and of itself indicate guilt? Probably.

Welcome back Vibes! Not as many people posting anymore. The forum still gets gobs of traffic but not as much engagement, which is very common with older traditional forums. But I'd like to see some of our old members post more.

What kind of studio projects? Are you playing professionally? On the road too?

Spent a good amount of my teenage years as a part of this forum. Have not played drums in a while... moving away from home and then school, work etc. Thinking of taking lessons to get a bit of the rust off. I've had a hoot reading my old posts. Hope everyone's having a grand old time

Hey Drummer, everything’s pretty good here! Just thinking the other day about how much time I used to spend posting on here, thought I would check in to see who’s still here. Seems like a long time ago. Everything good with you?

I'm good man. Kids growing up fast. The wife left me for another woman.
But seriously, I'm still practicing, growing, learning... The forum is slower these days. Not many people posting as much but it still gets an insane amount of traffic coming through. Not sure if you heard but Drum Bum built a hub over at Drumming.com so I'm helping with the marketing side of that as well. There are talks of revamping this forum. I'd love to see some of the old regulars start posting again.

My youngest graduated HS this year...it's crazy how fast that happens. I'm still playing but not nearly as much as I was back then. That's pretty cool that you are helping with the marketing side of things, and I agree it would be cool to get some of the old regulars back!

I've been working for them for years - mostly marketing but of course I moderate this forum and help now and then with new websites. They treat me well. I can't complain.
